The Rise of Islam

Since 9/11 Islam has been portrayed very negatively but even with this negativity, Islam is growing fast. Before 9/11 nobody really knew much about Islam and Muslims, but since the attacks people like myself actually went and researched and have seen the truth of Islam.

But also there is suddenly a new breed of so called experts on Islam and a wave of 'ex muslims.' Alot of them like Ergun Caner have been proven as frauds and fakes. These days making up stories of how one has been oppressed by Islam and Muslims suddenly makes you a celebrity. Not that I am denying that this sort of thing happens, but most of the time the stories have many flaws and sound rather corny.

I have seen people twist the scripture and make up lies in regards to Islam. However this was all prophesized by Muhammed p.b.u.h. The ignorance of some people is astounding as well and the racism towards the arab people simply because the majority of them are Muslim.

But even with everything against Islam and the Muslim people, it has made me stronger alhamdulilah. What I want to work towards is uniting the ummah and protecting my brothers and sisters in Islam. I think us as Muslims need to work on making our eeman stronger with what is to come ahead.

We must rely on each other as the whole world is against us and we should be setting a good example for other people. People's views do change so we shouldn't be quick to judge them. I use to be somewhat anti Islam and I thought it was oppressive against women, but when I actually researched and found the reasons for God laws, I saw how much we were liberated.

I found so much in Islam and so have other people and I recommend anyone should research it as it is such a beautiful religion. Inshallah I will post more blogs with some advice and anything new in the media. In the meantime brothers and sisters, we should work hard in making ourselves better and helping once another.
